Apron smocks are excellent for children who are no longer willing to wear a standard bib and just pull it off of their necks. The velcro in the center of the back makes it difficult for most children to yank this smock off and it seems they like the change in style for a bib. It covers the full front of a sitting child and may even go to the knees or shins of a standing child, depending on the size of the child and smock. They are available in three different sizes: small, medium, and large. A small would be ideal for the average 12-18 month old. These smocks are great for either eating purposes or artistic pursuits. The front of this bib is waterproof and wipeable, and has a pocket the width of the bib. The lining is flannel and the back attaches with velcro. There is elastic under the arms. The smock is fully machine washable and can also be put in the dryer.
